Technical Project Manager - GCP Migrations

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with expertise in cloud migration, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading multiple cloud migration workstreams, managing complex IT infrastructure transitions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Language Skills:
Bilingual proficiency in English/French (preferred).
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Lead and execute multiple cloud migration workstreams.
Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
Provide oversight to architects, engineers, and developers involved in migration activities.
Planning and Coordination:
Develop comprehensive cloud migration plans.
Analyze dependencies across workstreams and mitigate risks.
Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between technical teams, business units, and senior management.
Process Optimization:
Identify and implement cloud migration best practices.
Optimize and automate migration processes.
Stay updated on cloud technologies and trends.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed technical documentation of migration activities.
Monitor progress, address challenges, and adjust plans as needed.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience:
7+ years in program/project management, preferably in IT.
5+ years leading cloud migration projects (GCP experience strongly preferred).
Proven track record of managing complex technical projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Hands-on understanding of cloud migration strategies and best practices.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and influence skills for guiding technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Education and Certification
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
Certifications:
PMP certification (highly desired).
